Rotary, along with partners, Bill Gates Foundation have reduced polio cases by 99.9% worldwide since they first vaccinated children in 1979. So far we have immunised 2.5 million children against polio in 122 countries. We will not stop until we end the disease for good.
Polio is now remaining in only three countries in the world. We shall keep vaccinating children until we achieve our goal of no cases remaining anywhere in the world.
We have donated funds to this program for many years as this is one of the major projects that we support.
